During the editing process of our video, it was obvious that we would need to add a title to the TV series to introduce it. We knew that we wanted the title to feature in the last frame of the film so that it would stick in people’s heads.
We had an issue with selecting a colour for the title to be, however. We finally drew it down to two colours.
Our first choice was a very pale, minty green colour. We chose the colour from the very pale green at the top the characters shirt. We thought this colour worked really well because it stood out nicely from the background and it blended well within the colours in the rest of the shot. What we didn’t like about this colour was that it wasn’t very girly and didn’t really fit with the girly theme we were trying to keep throughout the production process.
The second colour we chose was the bright pink colour above. There weren’t any negatives with this colour as it stood out well from the background and didn’t appear to be sinking in the wall behind. It also fitted really well with the girly theme we were trying to keep throughout.
We decided on the pink colour by asking other people in the class to make a vote, and although the green title did recieve some votes because it fitted well, he majority went with the pink because it fitted with the girly theme.
